The Art of Battle Rapping… best diss songs )
Mar 4th

It’s always an argument when it comes to who has the best diss song ever. There are many choices. Is it Nas’ Ether aimed at Jay-Z, or is it Jay-Z the Takeover shooting at Nas and Mobb Deep. It could be Biggie on Kick In The Door when he was going at Raekwon, Ghostface and Nas. Dont forget about the whole Death Row era which produced classics like Dre Day, Real MuthaFuckin G’s, or the numerous 2Pac disses. Even before with Ice Cube No Vasaline going on N.W.A.
Rap is a competition and there is always going to be beefs, but If you aren’t ready for war don’t step in the battle field. And always remember, there is more than one way to win a war. Take Canibus for example. LL Cool J literally destroyed any chance of his career in rap music. At the time Canibus had everything going in his favor. He was THEE hot, new up-and-coming rapper, the mixtape monster. He had the streets behind him. LL cool J’s fan base was majority female. But, LL snatched away all this momentum and used it for himself. Check the blueprint.
Having his new album Phenomenon coming out and knowing that his fanbase was mostly female LL had to do something to get the streets behind him too. So he went straight to the streets. It was all a setup, Canibus was a target from the beginning. He did the song 4,3,2,1 and got the hottest street rappers out at the time. Method Man, Redman, Master P, DMX, and Canibus. He picked the weakest target to exploit. He set the bait on his verse to get Canibus to respond and thats what Canibus did. He came out with a banger, 2nd Round Knockout. But in the end it ultimately wasnt enough to match what LL had in store for him. The final result Cainub debut album with all the hype had lackluster albume sales( before downloading existed) while LL went on to go platinum.
Another guy who uses this strategy is 50 Cent. When its time to drop an album r gain some publicity he will attack whatever rapper has the streets attention. He will set a little bait and let the rapper attack so as therefor he won’t be looked at as the bully while he crushes his foes. He ended Ja rules career, picked fights with Mobb Deep Fat Joe, Jadakiss, and Rick Ross. The master of this technique is none other than the legendary 2Pac. He destroyed countless enemies while taking away their shine.
Now there are times when this can backfire. If you pick a fight with someone you better know who you fighting. Jay Z learned this the hard way. He attacked Nas while his was on the what seemed to be Nas’ downward side of his career. He dropped Takeove which was pure heat but only prompted Nas to release Ether. In my opinion the greatest diss song ever. Why? Because it was so bad he created a word in music language. Thanks to Nas you can now you can ‘ether’ somebody and they know what you mean. Jay-Z tried to come back with a response song and ended up apologizing (like Nas said he would on Ether) Who even remember the name or even how that song sounded? If only Nas would have came out with a video for Ether he would be at the top of the game right now.

Freemason Talks
Jan 31st

There seems to be a lot of talks about who is and who isn’t a Freemason these days. The Freemasons definitely exist, that is fact. The controversy lies within the realm of there being an “illuminati” or “New World Order” group with plans of taking over and controlling the world. (If they havent already…?) So today I am going to bless you with a collection of videos and interviews of different perspectives of how much power they have and who actually is a part of this cult. Is Jay-Z a Freemason? Nas? How bout Kanye? What about Barrack? Its definitely some cards being shuffled click the read more for the vids….
Waka Flocka shot in robbery attempt, but recovering
Jan 20th

Waka Flocka Flame (who is part of Gucci Mane’s Brick Squad crew, and Mizay Mgmt as well) was shot today in an alleged robbery attempt.

There are reports that it happened at a gas station or at the barbershop….either way, from what I’m hearing, Waka was not shot in the chest (as is widely rumored), and is not in critical condition. Insiders are citing arm/shoulder wounds and say that the young “O, Let’s Do It” rapper will be ok. Which is good news.

Wale: The Solution For Hip-Hop’s ADHD. Interview With AllHipHop
Jan 17th

This guy may just really be the next best thing coming out of D.C. since E.U. with “Da Butt.”
Wale tirelessly puts it on for his city and for those that need convincing probably also need industrial Q-tips for their ears. Obubowale “Wale” Florain first rose to prominence in 2006 with his heavy demand through Myspace and the insider music industry. Mixing the elements of Go-Go’s percussion and clever- yet rather entertaining metaphoric wordplay, Wale brought a cool breeze of fresh air to the Hip-Hop game.
After numerous fresh mixtapes, Wale had the pleasure of being one of the few ‘08 Freshmen Class students to actually release an album. Attention Deficit became a highly underrated album that likely was a victim of the retail dilemma facing the music industry.
AllHipHop.com had the chance to talk to Wale on a tour stop in North Carolina and he
